The Piccolo Group recently celebrated its longest standing distributor Van Dyck Floors’ 70th birthday by supporting the company on its national roadshow.
The events drew in hundreds of Van Dyck’s loyal retailers, architects, contractors and interior designers to celebrate the company’s 70thanniversary. At the events, The Piccolo Group launched Van Dyck’s latest LVT ranges including Verve Luxury Rigid Click and Rococo Xtra.
Having witnessed the failure of traditional click LVT in the South African market due to unsuitability of the material in the country’s varying temperatures and weather conditions, Piccolo was proud to introduce Verve Luxury Rigid Click. Made from a mixture of stone powder and PVC, Verve boasts dimensional stability and does not expand or contract in high temperature situations, making it suitable for countries such as South Africa.
Rococo Xtra was also introduced to the market; Piccolo Director, Rachel Coleridge-Smith comments,
“Rococo Xtra is not only longer and wider than the classic Rococo range, it also features a registered embossed surface, which emphasises the beauty of the grain, gives depth to the lines and highlights the complexity of the knots. This range gives Van Dyck a premium range of LVT, which so far has been well received by the South African market.”
Along with Van Dyck Floors’ other international suppliers, Balta and Easigrass, The Piccolo Group toured its partner’s major distribution points across South Africa, including Durban, East London, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria.
